Description
Darning is a wonderful way to keep your clothes lasting longer and to keep them out of landfill. It is a mindful way of fixing garments and in the process making those garments unique and meaningful.
In this class you will learn two methods of darning which can be used on lots of different types of textiles. From jeans and supermarket socks to knitted jumpers and lots in between. These methods can be used to either make subtle darns or visible mending style darns where the darn becomes a feature in itself.
The darning methods use hand embroidery stitches, but you do not need to know how to embroider already. This class is suitable for beginners.
