Description
A short two-class course for anyone who wants to learn how to use a sewing machine, or who has a sewing machine but doesn’t feel confident using it.
You can use one of our machines or bring your own. We can’t repair them, but often there is a quick solution to getting them running if you’re having trouble.
Two sessions of two hours each, 7-9pm. 21st and 28th April.
In the first session, get to grips with how a sewing machine works, what might go wrong, how to fix it. Threading, bobbin-winding, untangling, needle changes and a guide to basic uses for each stitch and what the different settings can do for you. Lots of practice and confidence-building.
In the second session, we will tackle a basic small project, so that you can apply your newly-learnt skills at the machines. All materials are provided for you to make a zipped pouch/pencil case/make-up bag.
Maximum class size: 7
